Made in Breizh
Born in Brest, Finistère, France.
As a child, I consumed the westerns shown every tuesday evening on FR3, without any moderation. John Wayne and Gary cooper became very good buddies. Then, at age 11, I received a few shocks. "2001 a space odyssey" by Stanley Kubrick, "The sand pebbles" by Robert Wise and "The graduate" by Mike Nichols with Dustin Hoffman had a huge impact on me as an impassioned young person of cinema. It was decided, I wanted to tell stories. In my 15th year, my father created a club of amateur script writers. We would write and carry out together 15 short films in Super 8. I then narrated for two years a weekly show devoted to cinema on local radio.

Paris
At 18, Paris and the ESRA Superior School of audio-visual.
For 3 years I studied the analysis of film according to theories of Jean François Tarnowski.
Tarno, as everyone called him, studies Hitchcock, Truffaut and Welles, also Coppola and Scorsese, and especially Spielberg, Ridley Scott, William Friedkin, John Boorman (the scene-by-scene analysis of "Deliverance" is a powerful journey in movie making).
These courses on "the melancholic secrecy " or "the surdécoupage" are lived like so many electric shocks and are literally interpreted by this violently charismatic teacher. |

Jeanne d'Arc, 130 days for Mike Juliette
For 12 months it was military service on the helicopter carrier ‘Jeanne of Arc’, directing several films for the SIRPA MER - the state major of the navy and the audio-visual services of the army.
It was an extraordinary adventure on this ship as a school as well as a floating embassy. A six month campaign in the Indian Ocean: Egypt, Madagascar, India, Australia, Kerguelen Islands, the Persian golf, the helicopters of the 35 F platoon ... Certainly, the world is within reach. The voyage became a way of life. |

Burkina Faso,
Africa
In an unforgettable trip to Ouagadougou, I participated as a cameraman in a humanitarian program to fight against a disease called ‘Noma’.
The films were produced in local languages to teach the communities about this disease. |
