Somewhere between the science fiction of Blade Runner, the apocalyptic society of Mad Max and a filming of Star Wars , we are camping in another planet. Maybe Mars!
We are not just observers but active participants.
The natural white surface, strewn with works of art is
transformed into a vast playground, a space of free
expression where all is allowed.
We followed David Best, a Californian artist whose new project is ambitious
and mysterious: The construction of the Temple of Honor, a
Byzantine inspiration made out of paper and cardboard 80
feet high. Manufactured with recycled materials, the temple is an interactive
work of art dedicated to departed loved ones and to the miracle of life, a
brilliant anachronism, and a miraculous idea
and exemplary symbol. |
